Poland: Krakow (Wawel Castle, Jewish memorial, Schindler Factory)

Wawel Castle

View of Krakow from Wawel Castle

Courtyard of the Castle. The rooms basically contains tapestries and other royal family's treasures

Wawel cathedral @ the Wawel Castle

Inside the Wawel cathedral

The priests taking turns to pray in front the altar

Fire-breathing dragon @ the foot of the Wawel Castle

Bagels which originate from Poland

Unflattering shot of Polish street baskers

The inscription says: "In memory of the Jewish martyrs of Cracow who were annihilated by the Nazi Germans in the terrible period"; "Earth do not Cover their Blood"

I am currently in Kazimierz, scene of many events in Schindler's List

Jewish Synagogue
I feel that Synagogues are generally less ostentatious and gives a warm, cosy and homely feeling whereas catholic cathedrals seem to seek to overwhelm their visitors with their ostentatious displays

Jewish Cemetery

Across the Wista river to go to the Schindler Factory

Schindler Factory

The man himself

Awarded the medal for the Righteous Among the Nations

Show @ the market square

Overall, I feel that Krakow is a lot less touristy than Prague and thus more pleasant to walk around
